After the Blackberry 10 press-con today, we were given access pass to a Blackberry 10 Experience Zone, where we get exclusive hands-on with the Blackberry Z10.
I’ve always wondered if Timeshift works on subjects without a face, i.e. anything without a head and two eye sockets – definition provided by one of the BB10 demonstrators.
So we tried activating Timeshift mode on my hand – as I move my fingers about, the demonstrator tapped on Timeshift mode and snapped a photo.
I was pleased to learn that Timeshift worked! When reviewing the captured shot, Timeshift focused on the whole hand, which means you will slide the scale horizontally instead of in a radial pattern as shown in many videos.
To me, this discovery offers endless possibilities.
Imagine timeshifting to select the perfect fireworks in the sky, dance move, jumpshots and impromptu pose.
While other smartphones may offer multi-shot to obtain the same effect, I find Blackberry 10 ups the ante by allowing to slide the scale and watch how the action develops in split second precision.
Not convinced? Ask for a demo before buying. Some friendly mobile stores should have a working demo set on display.
