A large portion portion of my social media notifications yesterday were all on the same topic – GTA V is announced and a new trailer will be unVeiled.
There were many speculations on what could be derived from that Roman character ‘V’, its font, its design and about it’s green, supposedly bank note-texture. The team at OXM had provided their own take on the logo.
I’m especially curious on why the design included an additional banner with the word ‘FIVE’.
Wouldn’t the Roman character ‘V’ be sufficient on its own, as employed in the logo for ‘GTA IV’.
Could that ‘V’ actually mean ‘Vice City’,
Perhaps this is all just a temporary teaser logo, and that an official logo will soon follow after the unVeiling of the first trailer on 11.02.11 or 2nd NoVember 2011?
My Asian-raised brain races its thoughts further:
Since GTA has made a reference towards the Chinese – a respectively large Asian population in Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars, do you think it’s possible that it’s now looking at tapping into the next big Asian population – i.e. the Indians?
After all, this piece of announcement did make its debut on the eve of Deepavali…“oh blimey!”
By that inference, would we see something about the British Indians, either as a trait of the protagonist or asone of the influential characters in the new title?
Let’s see…we had a Yusuf Amir in The Ballad of Gay Tony, a downloadable episode linked to GTAIV…..
Oh my God, will we finally see Russell Peters in this game?
