Out of ten games you bought recently, do you ever consult the manual for instructions or choose to learn the controls from the in-game tutorial mode/levels?
For me, I rarely touch the manual, unless it’s thick and is printed in colour. Otherwise, for most of the time, I rely on the tutorial mode to give me the low-down at its own pace. Learning while playing the game also seems natural because tutorial modes are usually programmed not to stuff your face with too much information.
So, when I opened my copy of Fight Night Champion, it was a shock and a surprise to the manual reduced to a piece of folder paper. I was shocked because usually for a game with lots of movement controls, a manual usually accompanies the bundle. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the move to conserve resources.
