Playing Magic the Gathering cards was a part of my life back in the late 90’s, when I picked up from a fellow NS colleague. A considerable amount of my allowance went to acquiring booster packs to improve my decks, and subsequently prices had gone up and it was growing to be an expensive hobby. I stopped collecting when I joined the workforce in 1999.
When the game was announced to be released on Xbox Live Arcade, I purchased it without hesitation. Although the version has its limitations, I love how certain things are automated and the absence of purchasing booster packs meant that I’m prevented from going on another spending spree.
I had finished unlocking all there is to be for Expansion 1 and 2, and when Expansion 3 was released last Wednesday, I spent the whole weekend trying to win matches against the AI so I can unlock the additional cards.
So, without further ado, here are snapshots of the cards. Some of the unlockable cards are commons and are from previous Expansions, which is disappointing. However, some are just powerful when you just happen to draw them at the right time.
