If you’re looking for a multiple-generation family of Xbox gamers, look no further than FoX. Dubbed ‘Fun Online Xperience’, this close knitted network of family members and friends keeps their company close by organising activities together.
You might have met them individually online on Xbox LIVE but if you attended their gathering on 2 April, you would be able to see a good example of a cohesive and fun community. They brought a lot of equipment – DJ entertainment system, consoles, LCD Monitors, Projector and games, served a wide selection of food and drinks and decorated the place with a gaming theme, which to my understanding, with the support of games distributor New Era.
What is more impressive is the amount of effort (and money) spent to print Xbox-themed T-shirts of various colours. While there’s a common design ‘Fox wants you to join a party’ on the front, there are varying accompanying designs for different members.
In my two hours of visit at their party last night, the adult FoX-es ran the activities for everyone to play. Their games are not just limited to playing on the consoles. They had a simple (but tricky) soccer session followed by a Call of Duty-themed obstacle telematch event.
