That realistic and punishing (from what we’ve seen from countless gameplay videos) is finally arriving here on 8 Oct.
I got my hands a few hours earlier (just right, before I fly off to Hong Kong tomorrow) and experienced the first mission. Presentation wise is good, but it looked quite grainy on my screen, and I’m using HDMI cable to my Arcade Xbox360.
Moving about in the game feels real, and there’s tension because you dont know where the enemy are until your squadmates spot them. Controls for switching weapons is tight and easy, but issuing commands on a radial on-screen menu feels slow, partly because it takes time to familiarise with the type of commands you can give, and know where they are placed on the radial menu).
I had a disappointing moment when I discovered that your AI soldiers have a habit of standing in front of my scope while you’re sniping, something that seems to appear in Ghost Recon series.
I guess the better way to play this is always with a group of friends on Xbox LIVE.
