After days of anticipation, I’ve finally received the update to my Xbox360 to preview the Xbox LIVE Update.
Downloading the update took a few minutes and then the system reboots before moving on to install the update. All in all, it took less than 5 minutes.
As soon as the update is complete, I was like a child released to the playground, running around to almost every nook and cranny of the dashboard searching for new stuff. Loading does seem faster now.
I spent more time on ‘My Xbox’ because this is where most of the personalisation takes place. The first thing you should notice is there’s a number pegged to your gamercard to show how ‘senior’ you are on Xbox LIVE. My gamercard shows ‘4’ signifying that it’s my fourth year on Xbox LIVE. Unfortunately, the system does not seem to recognise your Xbox LIVE participation since 2004, when it was launched here in Singapore for Xbox v1 consoles.
Next to it, you should see a new tab (not sure what’s the proper name) on Achievements Progress. This is where all your fully completed games will be shown. It doesnt matter if you don’t hit beyond 1000 points (eg. Bioshock). As long as you hit 1000 points, it’s good enough to be there.
So if you’re the type who doesn’t complete your games, this tab would be very empty. On the other hand, if you’re those people I know, this tab would be fully decked with game icons. Another way to brag about your achievements.
