Those of you who played Assassin’s Creed would notice that Altair has one of his fingers (of his left hand) cut off to make space for a hidden blade.
When I saw Assassin’s Creed II demo a few days ago, and saw Ezio double-blading two guards at the same time, I thought that means he loses two fingers. I was wrong. According to Patrice Desilets’ interview, and in the presence of Jade Raymond, the setting of 17th Century Spain allowed Ezio to take advantage of Leonardo Da Vinci’s inventions and these included crafting a weapon that does not require for any finger to be chopped off.
Catch the interview here (thanks to Copperhead), wherein you will be able to hear from Jade Raymond once again.
