Held over the weekend of 15-16 March 2008, this time round at Marina Square Level 1 Atrium, it showcases a couple of interesting current, recently-released and upcoming games. The place consists of a lot of Xbox360 and PlayStation3 kiosks, a large setup of PC terminals, a few of NintendoWii kiosks, some promotional booths, photo-session corners and a centralised stage.
By the time I got there on Saturday at 1pm, the place were already crowded and I just missed the opening ceremony. I was looking forward to check out the SPORE Creature Creator but the PCs were currently used for tournament. It would be good if they could have a demo station on SPORE somewhere. If there was, then I failed to see it. I am particularly attracted to this Nintendo Wii called "Ninja Reflex". It seems to be as fun as Xbox’s "Kungfu Chaos", a game for anyone at any age.
Wanted to get some EA merchandise but this year’s offering was a bit disappointing. The merchandise booth only had a couple of buttons, magnets, mugs and customised T-shirts. In the last EA Play, I bought three pieces of the slick EA jackets along with other stuff, and I was hoping to get some new EA jackets this time.
Took a couple of shots and left. Nice showcase of games but not memorable for me.
